I received a call from Kinokuniya last week informing that the mag which I enquired has arrived … Well, it was totally unexpected as they told me that they do not hold the stock and would need to check with their supplier and let me know…. no news from them since 1 month back. I told myself, fated that I cannot get the mag coz I tried ordering from Innolife but was unsuccessful. Yc offered to help but I thought it was too much trouble to pay her back etc and I told her nvm, I will do it myself but nvr action at all …. Anyway, was just happy to receive it, a belated bd present for myself …hehe (cost me 30 bulks, a bit x actually).
I wished I was the blind-fold
A nice song by Michael Bolton which I got from Tammy’s blog.
When I was just telling myself that there will be less updates from BH since GBW has started, he was spotted at a movie premeire on 21 Jun, wearing a grey, black and white strip shirt which I pretty like the color combination but not the hat that he was wearing …. . Anyway, was happy to find this set of photos when I just come home just awhile ago… Saw 2 from this range this afternoon and quite like the color scheme …. In fact, the colors of his clothings in all his recent photos are all very nice, my fav colours too. Well, hopefully he will announce his co-actors for Iris soon as I will be spending less time running after him for the next 2 yrs, at least …… sigh …..
This is a video clip on the translation which I have done in my previous posts about BH’s thought on his acting career and how his father has influnced him to be an actor. My thanks to cutiepie @ soompi for sharing this wonderful clip.
Lee Byung Hun recalls “Bitter Sweet Life” as movie with the deepest impression.
What is his performing life in Lee Byung Hun’s own eyes?
On 16 July, MBC programme “Good Day” interviewed Korean star Lee Byung Hun and also reviews his performing life.
The movie “The Good, the Bad, the Weird” by Lee Byung Hun, Jung Woo Sung and Song Kang Ho will soon be released and this movie is expected to be a new bright spot in Lee Byung Hun’s acting career.
In the programme, Lee Byung said that the work which he has the deepest impression would be “Bitter Sweet Life” which was released in year 2005. The reason was “Although the time was short but it was a very difficult piece of work”. LBH said that in the process of filming “Bitter Sweet Life”, he has to soak himself in the water for two weeks, and the feeling was like in hell.
Lee Byung Hun said that he has now achieved such great success is mainly due to his tireless efforts and also the sense of responsibility to protect his family. Achieving the peak of his career because of his father, Lee Byung Hun said that his father’s face would appear in his mind each time his is on stage to receive an award.
Demonstrating a variety of charm in both “The Good, the Bad, the Weird” and International movie, “Hero”, Lee Byung Hun’s excellent acting skill not only attracted the attention from the his own country but also many fans from overseas.
Lee Byung Hun “I became a movie actor because my father was a “Movie Enthusiast”.”
Lee Byung Hun from “The Good, the Bad, the Weird” expressed grieve over his belated father in a recent TV show.
Lee Byung Hun who appeared in MBC’s entertainment show recently (broadcasting on 16 July) said that his father was the reason behind his career as a movie actor.
Lee Byung Hun said, “My father has the most impact on me becoming a movie actor. My father used to be a movie enthuiast, whenever he watches a movie, he would be able to talk everything about the movie. Under my father’s influence, I began to come into contact with movies from a young age. “
On the other hand, this will be the first time that Lee Byung Hun plays a villain role, which is a big challenge for him.
On 6 July, “The Good, the Bad, the Weird” had a premiere in the Olympic stadium, interacting with more than 3000 Japanese fans and this movie is the most popular topic recently.
I really dunno how many more interviews will be coming up for BH but there have been too many for the past weeks for us to really read and “understand’ which is really a very painful thing … :( Although we can use the online translated to get the gist but then it’s not 100% correct …. sigh .
Anyway, the photos that came with all the interview are all very hunnilious …. and to mentioned about the almost 200 photos we got from the GBW premiere last week … I guess these are compensation for his absence from the past year although we did get to see him once in a long long while …haha. Hopefully, he will not MIA again when he starts on his new drama, IRIS ….
Some photos which appeared these 2 days which I like ….
BH posted his birthday message at JOFC thanking all his fans for their love and support. Here’s the translated version by Ching which she has done from the one I did in Chinese…. complicated, huh …haha
Today, on July 12th I am 38 years old.
My actor friends gathered yesterday to celebrate my birthday, and I’m spending some fun time with family, relatives and close friends today.
I received lots of warm congratulatory messages from fans from Korea and Japan etc. Thank you very much.
When I looked back to 1 year ago, I celebrated my birthday with fans in Tokyo last year, right? From that moment, I realized that time passes by very fast. I feel like the year was just only few minutes, but the experience as an actor, photography of movies and last year’s arena tour all piled up to unforgettable memories.
The chance when I can meet every fan directly is limited. But every time I’ll meet fans with a stage greeting of a movie and in many events, I always feel that our relationship is deepening. I see some new faces for the first time, some faces which we often meet, and some from 5 to 10 years ago.
Every time when I meet everyone, I become happy and feeling nostalgic because every fan seems to be like my old friend, it’s strange, isn’t it?
The message of congratulation from everyone is just like words which have come from my friend, and I can feel the sense of closeness.
I will cherish such relationship so that we continue to be best friends forever who don’t change even after 10 years and 20 years later.
